c_carol_againJust finished watching "Survivors of the Flux"...
* Not terrible, I guess, but definitely not what I was hoping for.
* It's not _completely_ an incomprehensible mishmash -- I'm pretty sure I managed to follow all or nearly all of it -- but I really wonder what the kids and the so-called Casual Viewers made of it.
* I've hardly read any of the Wilderness Years DW novels, but just from what I've heard about them, this is kind of what they're like, isn't it?
* Is it just me, or was the whole sequence about sending a message to Karvanista really kind of nonsensical? I like the _idea_ of the gang connecting back up with him, I just don't think the mechanism quite works.
* They _seem_ to be telegraphing the ending pretty heavily. What will the Doctor do if she has to choose between her memories and saving the universe? Three guesses. Having her choose to give the memories up forever is basically the only possible good solution to the arc, so I'm glad they seem to be moving in that direction. But are they really? Aren't we due for at least one more major plot twist before the end?
