c_carol_againI have no idea what season number or episode number we're on anymore, but anyway, I just finished watching "Eve of the Daleks" ...
* That was good! That was actually, really good for once!
* I mean, I don't think I'm going to say that it was Chibnall's best episode ever, because for one thing it really is just a light, silly little piece of fluff. Not that there's anything wrong with fluff, especially for holidays, but fluff doesn't get you Best Episode Ever awards. But I do think it's probably the Chibnall episode that I've _enjoyed_ the most. Just pure fun, the way Doctor Who should be.
* I am finally completely sold on Dan as a companion. He never quite 100% clicked for me last season (if that was last season and not this season?), but now I'm sure I like him.
* But there is pretty much no way for a middle-aged guy to give romantic advice to a 24-year-old girl without it feeling slightly inappropriate. Sorry, Dan, I know you mean well.
* In conclusion: the last traces of the Flux are gone, thank goodness. Looking forward to the next special, whatever season it belongs to.
