c_carol_againJust finished watching "Legend of the Sea Devils"...
* Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Was it brilliant, was it flawless? Of course not, but it was fun, and I don't have any major complaints to make about it.
* So pretty. Everything is just so very pretty.
* I like the Chibnall style of bringing back classic monsters, keeping them closer to the original designs but still somehow making them look modern in quality. They got an *impressive* amount of expression into the Sea Devil's face, which could not have been easy to do.
* On the other hand, good job _not_ faithfully recreating the Myrka. The new sea monster is absolutely stunning. Best part of the episode.
* I've mostly been avoiding the Socials, but I bet the Thasmin shippers are being unbearable about right now, aren't they? Despite the fact that this is pretty much the _best possible way_ a Doctor/Companion ship can go. All the other possible routes are either out-of-character, or heartbreaking, or unworkable story-wise, or all of the above.
* How long to the next one? Can't wait!
