c_carol_againJust finished watching GO2. So, I guess it's Instant Reaction time?
I devoured the whole thing in 2 binge-sessions, 1-4 last night and 5-6 this morning, and the whole time, I was sort of pre-rough-drafting this reaction post in my head. Lots of Feelings and half-formed Thoughts that are still too incoherent to be a real review. That post went something sort of like this:
* I like it so far! I don't think it's going to be the kind of brain-altering, obsession-making thing that Season 1 was, but it's really enjoyable, and they're not making the kind of terrible mistakes I half-expected.
* The half-formed thought that keeps circling around the most is, "feels like fanfic". But I mean, like, in a good way! It's giving me exactly the kind of feelings that I get from reading really, really good fanfic, the feelings that keep me compulsively going back to AO3 and sifting it to find the Good Stuff. And I keep trying to nail down exactly _why_ GO2 is giving me that feeling, and what it all means, but it's still a little too undeveloped for me to catch.
* David Tennant in a sharp 1940s suit, yes please.
* Finally, I'll be able to go back online and catch up on all the spoilery fan-chatter I've been trying to avoid! Yay.
And then. Episode 6. That ending. And all my half-baked reactions have scattered away all over the place, and all that's left is ... I don't even know.

I am writing meta. But (although I definitely didn't see it coming) I feel very vindicated. My fics were on the money! ^_^
