This one is an Instant-Ish Reaction for a couple of reasons: one, it's a good 16 hours post-instant; two, it's not a pure Instant Reaction because I have _definitely_ read a bunch of other people's thoughts before writing it (I have insomnia, and a phone, and very little self-control); and three, I'm not sure it's going to contain any actual Thoughts. My _true_ instant reaction consisted mostly of emojis and handwaving, and I'm only just starting to be able to convert it into Words.
* To start with, yes, I liked it a lot.
* That was _extremely_ RTD, wasn't it? Just, the _most_ RTD-ish thing ever.
* Very subtle, Rusty, very subtle.
* There are plenty of things here that really don't make sense if you think too hard. But on the other hand, with the reality-warping powers involved here, it's kinda justifed this time?
* Doctor: "He's called..." [dramatic pause] "...The Toymaker". Everybody: "Sure, why not, that doesn't sound ridiculous at all."
* Was the Toymaker quite _this_ overpowered in the original? I haven't actually seen it but I suspect not.
* Did we _need_ an explanation for the Master's survival and return? Really?
* Elisi, you called it, it's Logopolis!!!!
* Somewhat to my surprise, I actually liked the whole "bigeneration" thing. If there's a flaw, it's that it reminds me a little too much of Handy, but I think it's _just_ different enough to work, and anyway it's done a lot better here than it was in 'Journey's End'.
* I'm so glad it had such a happy ending :)

Basically yes? They just didn't have the budget. The BBC put out a little
video - 3/4 of the serial are left (although I think they're going to animate it), but if you want to know how it ends and get a flavour (and don't mind being spoiled) please watch. :)
